This Is Not a Government or Law Enforcement Office. We run a private reference site. We cannot confirm whether a warrant exists, recall or clear a warrant, post bond, arrange a surrender, or give legal advice for anyone. For any of those, reach the Sheriff's Office or the issuing court directly.
Need Official Warrant Information?
Route the question by what it is about, because the offices below keep different records. The Sheriff's Office covers enforcement, custody, and civil process. The Clerk of Court keeps district-court files for the 7th Judicial District. A town citation belongs to the mayor's court in that town.
- Whether a warrant exists: call the Catahoula Parish Sheriff's Office at 318-744-5411 and ask what the office can release, since the parish publishes no name search
- A bench warrant or attachment for a missed date: call the court that set the case, which is often a mayor's court or a ward justice of the peace
- Resolving or clearing a warrant: talk to a licensed Louisiana attorney and the issuing court about a recall, an appearance, or bond
- A district-court file: call the Clerk of Court at 318-744-5497 with the case number and the division if you know it
- A federal matter: the Western District of Louisiana in Alexandria handles federal cases, and parish offices cannot confirm them
For warrants held at the parish level, the office to start with is the Catahoula Parish Sheriff's Office at 100 Pine Street in Harrisonburg, with mail to PO Box 655. The number is 318-744-5411, and the Civil Division answers at 318-744-6051 on weekdays between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. District-court files belong to the Catahoula Parish Clerk of Court, Larisa Holley Field, at 301 Bushley Street, Room 101, with mail to PO Box 654 and the number 318-744-5497.
Call before you visit. The published pages do not list walk-in hours for a warrant counter, and no office has published a dedicated warrant line.
